GM ties up with Reva for electric 'Spark'

New Delhi: General Motors India, a subsidiary of the Detroit-based General Motors, on Thursday said it has tied up with Reva Electric Car, Bangalore to roll out the electric version of its small car `Chevrolet Spark`.

GM India president and Managing Director Karl Slym told reporters here that the General Motors were pleased to join hands with Reva to bring out electric vehicles n the market.

Regarding the price, he said the company would ensure that the vehicle was affordable for the Indian consumer, but added the final price would be declared at the time of the launch in 2010.
