Abhaya case: HC wants probe on ASI’s death
Kochi: The High Court on Thursday directed that a higher official in the rank of IG investigate the death of Sub Inspector Augustine, who had prepared the inquest report of Sister Abhaya.
Augustine was found dead at Chingavanam at Kottayam the day after the CBI had grilled him in the Sister Abhaya case.
As Augustine`s death is shrouded in mystery, the court said it would be right that it is probed by a IG-level investigation.
