Opposition demands all party meet on Munnar
Thiruvananthapuram: In the wake of the Left government failing in its drive against encroachments in Munnar, Opposition Leader in the Kerala Assembly Oommen Chandy on Tuesday demanded an all-party meet to discuss the issue.
Addressing reporters here, he alleged that the government was trying to divert the attention of the people from Munnaar to Wayanad. The encroachments in Wayanad district led by the CPI (M) were only to conceal the encroachments made by CPI (M) party and its party workers in Munnar.
He also stated that the opposition was not against taking action against encroachers in Munnar. ``We will extend all support for any lawful action taken by the government for evicting encroachers in Munnar.``
