Everything fine with Kochi IPL: owners

    Thiruvananthapuram: The Kochi`s Indian Premier League franchise co-owner Vivek Venugopal on Tuesday made it clear that everything is fine with the newly acquired team.

    Talking to reporters after a meeting with the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), he said Kochi would host the home matches of the team next year.

    Venugopal said various names were being considered for the team and they would come up with a name at the earliest. On the role of Shasi Tharoor, he said Tharoor was a well wisher, mentor and fan.

    Rendezvous Sports World had won the franchise for the Kochi IPL team for a record price of Rs1500 crore.

    Apart from Venugopal, other co-owners like chief executive officer of Rendezvous P T Keshav, Mohan Shah (Anchor Group), Owal Shah (Paraneeam Developers), Kailash (Film Waves), and local MP Shashi Tharoor took part in the meeting.
