Olympic and World Championship bronze medallist Vijender Singh has become the world's top-ranked pugilist in the middle weight (75kg) category.
Singh, has been ranked ahead of reigning champion Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan, who had defeated Singh in the semi-final of the Championship.
Atoev is ranked third in the list while Olympic silver medallist Emilio Correa Bayeux of Cuba is in the second place in the latest rankings issued by the International Boxing Association's (AIBA).
