Quake kills over 300 in Chile

Chile: A massive quake killed over 300 people in Chile, which triggered tsunami that ravaged a port town and threatened Pacific coastlines as far away as Japan.

Reports say that about two million people have been affected by the Tsunami. There was altogether chaos all around Chile. Bridges collapsed, buildings caught fir, power lines went down and huge waves swept the shores as an impact of the massive earthquake, which recorded 8.8 on the ritcher scale.

President Michelle Bachelet said in a TV address that the forces of nature were testing the nation. The president said a state of catastrophe had been declared in six regions.

Rescue teams are finding it hard to the regions of disaster because of the damages.
